Nader Fathi, CEO
Nader brings twenty-five years of general management, business development, sales and marketing experience in the software and electronics industry to SigmaQuest. Prior to co-founding SigmaQuest, Nader was vice president of worldwide sales operations and emerging markets at IKOS Systems where he was member of the senior management team that led IKOS from a turnaround to a $115M acquisition by Mentor Graphics. Prior to IKOS, he spent seven years at Cadence Design Systems. He was a core member of Cadence Analog startup team which grew that business from introduction to $40M in three years. He headed the Cadence Corporate Programs office which managed the company's quarterly software release process of 30 million lines of software code and also managed platform partnerships including IBM, HP and Sun Microsystems. Nader was also the practice head for Cadence's new support outsourcing business resulting in over $100M in bookings. He previously held various management positions with Dazix (an Intergraph company) and Xerox Microelectronics. Nader has a BSEE and an MSEE from University of Southern California and a business management certificate from UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management.

Al Alaverdi, Co-founder and Vice President of Technology
Al brings over twenty years of experience in testing and manufacturing software development to SigmaQuest. Prior to SigmaQuest, Al was the founder and President of CodeServ, a software consulting company specializing in electronic systems manufacturing. Codserv had multi-million dollar contracts with Sun Microsystems, Anritsu, and Solectron. Prior to CodeServ, Al served in several engineering and management capacities at Amdahl and Antares Alliance Group where he was responsible for process engineering and for the development of tools to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiencies. This experience, combined with his background in computer science, provides the unique manufacturing and IT expertise that forms the center of SigmaQuest's offering. Al holds a BSCS from University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and an MSCS from the Santa Clara University.

Owen Tucker , Vice President of Marketing
Owen Tucker joins SigmaQuest after serving as VP of Marketing at E2open. Tucker previously served as director of product marketing for the Manufacturing Applications Software business at Oracle, serving a $1.6 billion market. Before Oracle, Tucker was the Center-of-Excellence leader for the manufacturing/supply chain with IBM's $6 billion Business Consulting Group acquired from PriceWaterhouseCoopers (where Tucker served global technology and retail clients). Prior to joining PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Tucker was vice president of operations with LH Research where he established and helped drive manufacturing facilities in Singapore and Malaysia. Before LH Research, Tucker was vice president, manufacturing at NCR Teradata (Teradata was acquired by AT&T, merging with NCR in 1992). Tucker joined Teradata during the start-up phase, helping to grow the company to more than $500 million in just six years. Tucker has also served as director of manufacturing, quality and engineering at Excellon Automation, and served as a project manager and design engineer at Teledyne Controls. Tucker holds a master's in business (summa cum laude) from Pepperdine University, as well as a bachelor's degree, with honors, in electrical engineering and electronics from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.

Mark Anapolsky, Director North America Sales
Mark brings over twenty years of sales management, sales and marketing experience in the software industry to SigmaQuest. Prior to SigmaQuest, Mark held senior management positions with several leading software companies including Infor (Enterprise Application Company.), RightNow Technologies (software as a service CRM), Systems Software Associates (SSA) and Clear Cross, Inc. At SSA, Mark was instrumental in securing several multi-million dollar contracts with global accounts. Before SSA, Mark was the Western Region Sales Director at Synon where he successfully launched the Applications Division. This experience, combined with his background in management information sciences provides the leadership of the SigmaQuest's sales team. Mark attended California State University, Sacramento with a concentration in accounting and management information sciences.

Professor Klaus ten Hagen, CTO
Professor ten Hagen has been involved with SigmaQurest since 2001. Since March 2003 he is a data mining and advanced analytics professor at the university of Zittau-Goerlitz, Germany.  He studied EE/CS from 1983-1987 at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH). He started as a developer of hardware and real-time software at the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV). From 1988 to 1994 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Integrated Systems (ISS). His research area was hardware-software codesign. One outcome of his work was the HW/SW cosimulation capability in the system simulator COSSAP. (COSSAP was productized by CADIS. CADIS was acquired by Synopsys in 1994.) Prof. ten Hagen is the author of the book "Abstract Modeling of Digital Circuits" published by Springer. In 1995 he worked as a consultant for high level design methodology. From 1995 to 2000 he held various management positions at Synopsys in the Silicon Valley. From 2000-2001 he was Director of Design Planning with eSilicon.  Prof. ten Hagen is the author of numerous publications and two US patents.
 
Balaram Putta, Director of Engineering
Balaram Putta has nearly 13 years of technology leadership and systems architecture experience. Balaram's resume includes leading edge development of technologies as diverse as Novel Netware disaster recovery solutions to design of protocols to securely transfer files via the Internet while at Intrusion.com, a company that provides technical security solutions to the US Government and Fortune 500 corporations. Balaram has extensive experience in hi-tech manufacturing and semiconductor supply-chain domains via technology leadership roles at ScalarSoft and SigmaQuest. He also has hands-on experience in Financial and ERP systems integration with manufacturing and warranty management systems. Balaram counts several start-ups to his credit and is able to lead and operate within a pure technical environment and contribute to business decisions and executive level strategic dialogue. Balaram has several technical certifications from Microsoft, Sun, others and a MS Degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science.

Mark C. Valentine, Chairman of the Board
Before joining SigmaQuest, Mark was president of OPS Central, an operations outsourcing firm.   Before that, he was vice president of operations at Geyser Networks, an optical networking startup, where he managed all manufacturing programs, the supply chain, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, quality engineering, IT, customer service, and facilities. Prior to Geyser Networks, Mark served as the director of strategic accounts at Flextronics where he managed major global accounts.   He also successfully developed supply chain solutions to provide efficient and cost-effective manufacturing and distribution of global products. Prior to this, Mark held a number of positions during his tenure at Tandem Computers. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University in 1986 and a Masters of Science degree from Stanford in 1987.   Mark joined SigmaQuest's Board of Directors in January 2004.

Bobby Yazdani, Board Member
Bobby Yazdani is the driving force behind the Saba vision, products, and market direction. He founded Saba in 1997 and took the company public in 2000. Today, Saba, headquartered in Redwood Shores, Calif., is the leading provider of Human Capital Development and Management solutions. Among the Global 2000, Saba customers include Allianz Group, DaimlerChrysler, EDS, Procter & Gamble, Medtronic, Anheuser-Busch, Ford Motor Company, Continental Airlines, Cisco Systems, EMC Corp., and VERITAS Software. In 2001, Yazdani was named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Based on his leadership and vision, InformationWeek ranked Saba #27 on its Innovation 100 list and Computerworld named Saba to its list of 100 Emerging Companies to Watch in 2001. Yazdani is a frequent spokesperson at industry events held by such prestigious organizations as the United Nations and The Economist. He has written numerous technical and business papers including: "Human Capital Development and Management: The Next Generation of Virtual Integration Across the Extended Enterprise." Prior to founding Saba, Yazdani served as Senior Director at Oracle Corporation. Previously, he held various senior management positions leading the product development teams for Oracle Context and numerous generations of Oracle's core database products. Yazdani has a BA in Applied Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley.

Judy Owen, Board Member
Judy has participated in the creation of high tech companies in Silicon Valley for over twenty-five years. In 1998 she founded SiliconX, a portal for the semiconductor design industry, where she served as President/CEO. Prior to founding SiliconX, Judy founded Wireless Access Inc in 1991, serving as president and CEO.   Wireless Access developed two-way paging and advanced wireless communication products and was acquired in late 1997 for $100M by Glenayre Technologies. Prior to Wireless Access, Judy was general manager of the Network Products division of Teknekron Communication Systems which developed communication, voice, and graphics products.   Before that, Judy was vice president of the Graphics Division of Chips and Technologies which made chips for the personal computer market.   Prior to Chips and Technologies, she was general manager of the Mechanical Computer Aided Engineering Division of Silicon Graphics. Before that, Judy held various positions at Intel Corporation.   Judy   received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Hughes Fellowship (post graduate) at the University of Southern California. Judy joined SigmaQuest's Board of Directors in March 2003.
