The SigmaQuest team brings extensive expertise in developing and managing enterprise applications specifically for design and manufacturing of complex and high quality products. The company was founded based on real world experience building proprietary solutions for Sun and Anritsu Corporation. This domain expertise is "built in" to our global solutions. Nader Fathi, CEO Nader brings twenty-five years of general management, business development, sales and marketing experience in the software and electronics industry to SigmaQuest. Prior to co-founding SigmaQuest, Nader was vice president of worldwide sales operations and emerging markets at IKOS Systems where he was member of the senior management team that led IKOS from a turnaround to a $115M acquisition by Mentor Graphics. Prior to IKOS, he spent seven years at Cadence Design Systems. He was a core member of Cadence Analog startup team which grew that business from introduction to $40M in three years. He headed the Cadence Corporate Programs office which managed the company's quarterly software release process of 30 million lines of software code and also managed platform partnerships including IBM, HP and Sun Microsystems. Nader was also the practice head for Cadence's new support outsourcing business resulting in over $100M in bookings. He previously held various management positions with Dazix (an Intergraph company) and Xerox Microelectronics. Nader has a BSEE and an MSEE from University of Southern California and a business management certificate from UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management. Al Alaverdi, Co-founder and Vice President of Technology Al brings over twenty years of experience in testing and manufacturing software development to SigmaQuest. Prior to SigmaQuest, Al was the founder and President of CodeServ, a software consulting company specializing in electronic systems manufacturing. Codserv had multi-million dollar contracts with Sun Microsystems, Anritsu, and Solectron. Prior to CodeServ, Al served in several engineering and management capacities at Amdahl and Antares Alliance Group where he was responsible for process engineering and for the development of tools to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiencies. This experience, combined with his background in computer science, provides the unique manufacturing and IT expertise that forms the center of SigmaQuest's offering. Al holds a BSCS from University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and an MSCS from the Santa Clara University. Glenn Seidman, Head of Product R&D Dr.
Glenn Seidman has architected and developed enterprise class products
for over 25 years. At SigmaQuest he is responsible for product
architecture, software development and delivery. Prior to SigmaQuest,
Dr. Seidman held executive positions at software companies, including
I-many, the leading software vendor for pharmaceutical and contract
management software. Prior to leading development teams, Dr. Seidman
held Chief Architect positions at startups and public companies
including Netfish, Oracle, and FileNet. At FileNet, Dr. Seidman
invented FileNet's Workflow system. Dr. Seidman has been awarded 7
patents and has 15 pending in the areas of security, privacy, and
workflow. Dr. Seidman holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science
from UCLA, and a B. S. in Engineering and Applied Science from the
California Institute of Technology. Mark C. Valentine, Chairman of the Board Before joining SigmaQuest, Mark was president of OPS Central, an operations outsourcing firm. Before that, he was vice president of operations at Geyser Networks, an optical networking startup, where he managed all manufacturing programs, the supply chain, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, quality engineering, IT, customer service, and facilities. Prior to Geyser Networks, Mark served as the director of strategic accounts at Flextronics where he managed major global accounts. He also successfully developed supply chain solutions to provide efficient and cost-effective manufacturing and distribution of global products. Prior to this, Mark held a number of positions during his tenure at Tandem Computers. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University in 1986 and a Masters of Science degree from Stanford in 1987. Mark joined SigmaQuest's Board of Directors in January 2004. Judy Owen, Board Member Judy has participated in the creation of high tech companies in Silicon Valley for over twenty-five years. In 1998 she founded SiliconX, a portal for the semiconductor design industry, where she served as President/CEO. Prior to founding SiliconX, Judy founded Wireless Access Inc in 1991, serving as president and CEO. Wireless Access developed two-way paging and advanced wireless communication products and was acquired in late 1997 for $100M by Glenayre Technologies. Prior to Wireless Access, Judy was general manager of the Network Products division of Teknekron Communication Systems which developed communication, voice, and graphics products. Before that, Judy was vice president of the Graphics Division of Chips and Technologies which made chips for the personal computer market. Prior to Chips and Technologies, she was general manager of the Mechanical Computer Aided Engineering Division of Silicon Graphics. Before that, Judy held various positions at Intel Corporation. Judy received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Hughes Fellowship (post graduate) at the University of Southern California. Judy joined SigmaQuest's Board of Directors in March 2003.
